Limbo (Chapter 2)

In a state of limbo.

She sees love and she hears about love but she is not moved,

The romantic in her has fallen out of love with love.

She no longer wants a person around for 5 minutes nor can picture herself staring at someone with big glossy Disney eyes.

The urge to speak to someone she was once borderline obsessed with passed,

Her favourite 90’s movies do not push her into wanting a new buddy,

I think she’s tired.

She does look upon others favourably,

Vicariously living through the souls of her friends.

But she doesn't have that itch!

The thought or feeling that would usually tell her to get her own.

Perhaps she’s hesitant or is it that maybe she’s very accepting.

Accepting of her situation, accepting of her luck, accepting of the world she lives in.

She can have fun,

She’s had periods of “just fun”,

What’s a flirt or kiss when you know you’ll forget about them tomorrow?

The thing about fun is that eventually we forget that these situations are temporary and they do come to an end.

We forget that eventually you say your goodbyes and I can’t promise you that they’ll be good ones.

Regardless she’s just living, breathing…existing,

She assumes that love will woo her again some day.

That she’ll fall back into deep infatuation with its branding.

However, until that day it’s limbo.
